Many families like your own are facing challenges and hardships they have never faced before. Recovery, it seems, is a long road ahead. But as we slowly find our way forward, we remember our Filipino values that we’ve drawn strength from time and time again - Bayanihan.

Literally, it means “being in a community." Bayanihan is about the community coming together and helping one another, treating your neighbor as if they were family.

That Bayanihan spirit is needed now more than ever as COVID-19 continues to cripple the poorer communities in the Philippines where many have already lost their sources of income, food and supplies, and most tragically, their loved ones.

Let us not let them lose their dignity too.

Light the fire that gives hope to our nation and our people. Your contributions will go towards helping us fight the effects of COVID-19 in our most vulnerable communities. Together, we can send relief and aid that will ensure that they stay safe, healthy and supported throughout this worldwide pandemic.

With your help, we can also rekindle the heroism that is ingrained in Filipino culture -- Bayani, one who humbly recognizes the interest of others, the community, and the nation, as bigger than their own.

A week's stipend of $7.50 will help pay for basic staples such as rice, canned goods, noodles, and basic medicines for one family while the breadwinner cannot earn his daily wages due to the quarantine.

In the next three months, we hope to serve 12,000 of the poorest families in the country.

Together, we leave no one behind. Together, we keep everyone safe and healthy.
