Community Food Farms: Answer to Hunger
Each community farm with an average of 500-1000 sqm parcel of land, is designed to produce at least 200 kilograms of vegetables every 35 to 40 days and families have started to reap their harvest both for personal consumption and as a means to provide livelihood by bringing their produce to market. The farms have also begun to engage in raising hogs, goats and chickens. They also produce organic fertilizers and liquid supplements for richer soil. In the future, components on fish and fruit-bearing trees will be rolled-out, as well.
By supporting the Community Food Farms program, we not only feed the poor but also empower them to end hunger.
